I just completed my confined water dives as part of my open water diver certification with ARgento Diving. Jorge was great. He was patient and referenced his extensive diving experience when explaining the techniques. Also he was flexible in scheduling around some constraints I had, and he fit me in on short notice. I just finished taking my drysuit class with ARgento Diving (Jorge) and had such a great experience that I had to share it with everyone! I am a divemaster/assistant instructor with hundreds of dives under my belt. I have always dove wetsuit but now that I am in my late fifties, the cold takes a greater toll on me so I figured I would give drysuit diving a try. My first thoughts were, "do I really need this class?" but you don't know what you don't know and I could not be happier that I did take this course! Jorge, the owner of ARgento Diving worked with me directly and set a great pace for the classroom part of the course. We focused on the important parts of the lessons and having an instructor available to answer questions was extremely valuable. I prefer the classroom setting but ARgento diving did offer an online option as well. Once the formalities of the classroom part of the course were complete, we worked on the skills section of the course. I'm very comfortable under water in a wetsuit but was surprised at how unfamiliar the drysuit experience would be. Jorge was very patient and professional with his instruction and made sure I was proficient before doing our open water portion of the class. Getting used to using the drysuit air release valve instead of my buoyancy compensator was tricky. Old habits, die hard. By the end of the open water class after completing all the skills I felt very comfortable in my new drysuit! Overall it was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend Argento Diving (Jorge) to anyone looking to learn to dive or take any advanced courses. I do plan on having my daughter and her boyfriend take the intro class this fall with Jorge. I cannot say enough about the excellent experience we had with Jorge during the recent Discover Scuba Diving session with our son. He is 10 and a confident swimmer, but I was nervous about him starting on his Scuba journey. Jorge was thorough and clear in his instruction - setting both parents and child at ease. Safety was top most on the agenda, but listening to the student and addressing his questions directly were done in parallel. We look forward to working with Jorge and ARgento Diving on our son's path to certification and will probably advance our skills as well!
